Research on electrical properties of new polymer cement concrete used for pipeline transmission

2017
Electrical properties of insulating materials is the key to new large capacity pipeline transmission technology. The dielectric loss factor, capacitance, lightning withstand voltage, local discharge, power frequency breakdown strength of the new polymer cement concrete (PCC) were studied. Through the experimental analysis: With the increase of temperature, The relative dielectric constant of PCC sample decreased slightly and the dielectric loss factor increased. At room temperature the dielectric loss factor of PCC is 0.062, The relative dielectric constant of PCC is 5.62. The dielectric loss factor is higher than that of conventional XLPE. Lightning impact breakdown strength, the power frequency breakdown voltage and partial discharge performance of PCC samples are all slightly lower. Measurement and analysis of dielectric properties, dielectric strength and partial discharge performance of PCC. At present PCC can be used in casing, If it can be used for large capacity pipeline transmission, we need to further optimize the formula, improved technology.
