Pharmacological Treatment of Whiplash Injury

1996
Whiplash injury is a very common cause of vertigo and dizziness especially in the developed countries where this pathology is often related to the increasing number of traffic accidents. The most frequent cause of neck injury is the rear end automobile collision. In this case one of the occupants is thrown into the windshield; this may compress and hyperextend or hyperflex the neck depending on which part of the head strikes the windshield and the position of the neck at impact.
