Psychologists' HIV/AIDS experiences, anxiety, knowledge, and continuing education: A preliminary report
1994
Psychologists' training needs regarding the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) are assessed. Also displayed are psychologists' self-assessments concerning previous HIV/AIDS-related training; professional and personal experiences with HIV/AIDS; anxiety; familiarity with the HIV/AIDS literature; and HIV/AIDS-related knowledge. Psychologists who had attended a 1-day HIV/AIDS continuing education conference were compared with a control group of psychologists who had not attended the conference.
