On concept abstraction algorithms

We address two fundamental issues in the computational theory of mind (CTM): the extreme accuracy of visual signal perception and the quick recall of relevant information from a vast memory. The key component of our approach is an algorithm that converts the spatial signal into a temporal representation. The model is motivated by human vision, but it is valid for concept abstraction and analogical thinking in general.
