The invention relates to a large-size high-aluminum-content iron-chromium-aluminum alloy sheet material and a preparation method thereof, and aims to solve the problem that the existing method can not prepare the large-size high-aluminum-content iron-chromium-aluminum alloy sheet material. The thickness of the material is 0.1-0.3mm, and the diameter is 1000mm. The sheet comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 15.0-20.0% of Cr, 10.0-15.0% of Al and the balance of Fe. The method comprises the following steps: putting an aluminiferous ingot into a water-cooled copper crucible, heating a high-temperature alloy substrate to 650-1000 DEG C, and keeping the temperature; and evaporating the aluminiferous ingot for 10-60 minutes, and naturally cooling to 50 DEG C. The iron-chromium-aluminum alloy sheet material prepared by the method has large size (the diameter is 1000mm), and can be conveniently cut and processed into required shapes and sizes. The method belongs to the field of preparation of a metal cellular-structure upper/lower veneer sheet material for a thermal protection system.
