Method for inclusion in a gel of microorganisms or portions thereof, used in the fermentation processes

1989
The invention relates to an improved method for inclusion in a gel of microorganisms or parts of microorganisms used in the fermentation processes, by mixing the microorganism or microorganisms portions with a liquid agar solution of 40- 50 degree (s) C and dropwise pouring the mixture obtained in a liquid gelling medium. According to the invention, an organic solvent or solvent mixture is used as gelling liquid medium which has no adverse effects on the microorganisms, has the following physical characteristics: solubility water: less than 10 g / 100g density less than 1.2 g / cm ** 3 viscosity measured at 20 degree (s) C: 10-100 cP b.p. 75-250 degree (s) C and wherein the droplets of the precipitation rate is greater than 0.01 cm / sec .
