The modern world is facing an increasing rate of obesity. The problem of obesity leaves a enormous consequences on the quality of life as well as society as a whole. Many health realted disorders associated with excess body weight have been proven to generate higher financial cost of health care than normal body weight individuals. The Republic of Croatia is one of the countries facing this fast-paces problem without clearly defined guidelines. The problem of obesity is associated with a series of health problems such as cardiovascular disease, sever types of cancer, diabetes type 2, psychological and social problems. There are clear indications that obese people have higher health costs associated with a higher body mass index. The body mass index is a medical measure that characterizes a person as obese or normal weight person. The system dynamic program has created a model that serves to show a structured reality, all with the aim of reviewing the utility and consistency of a given problem. A systematic dynamic model that simulates body weight reduction and systematic reduction of financial costs has been developed. The Biological-Financial System Dynamic Model has given a framework for action in the field of cost reduction that is accumulating in the health care system and is linked to the reduction of the number of obese people. Simulations have shown that it takes 3 and a half years to solve the problem of obesity in Croatia. To solve the problem, it is necessary to act in the field of education, starting from school age to those who already have developed problems caused by overweight and obesity, primarily by raising awareness of a healthy lifestyle.Only direct measures can affect the problem of obesity.
