A method for transferring patient data on a dental articulator dentofacial to facilitate attachment of dental casts on the dental articulator, the method comprising the steps of: positioning a register plate (34) in the mouth of a patient and align the facial incisal edge of the maxillary incisors of the patient with an incisor line (40), which is marked on an upper surface of the plate (34), said plate (34) upper on its having surface soft bite registration material to absorb the impressions of the maxillary teeth of the patient and to register the occlusal plane of the patient; to instruct the patient to easily bite into the registration material; adjust the plate in a horizontal position, wherein the patient is sitting upright and looks straight ahead; to take the recording plate (34) out of the mouth of the patient after the registration material has set and the plate there is in the horizontal position; and the recording plate (34) on a horizontal mounting plate (82) to place that a dental articulator is secured to the lower frame (50) and the mounting plate (82) thereby positioned centrally from side to side and between the upper (152) and lower (50 ) frame of the articulator is positioned, wherein the articulator supports which form a pivot axis and the plate (82) forward and positioned from the hinge axis below, where the registration plate (34) is positioned so that the incisal line (40) of the recording plate (34) spaced a known distance from the axis, whereby the recording plate (34) to the mounting plate (82) is fixed in a known ratio corresponding to the patient-specific tooth data or average values.
