Übertragung des Rübenkräuselvirus durch Larven von Piesma quadrata Fieb. (Heteroptera, Piesmidae) nach Anstechen des Darmes (Vorläufige Mitteilung)

Summary Larvae of the beet lacebug Piesma quadrata Fieb. (Heteropt., Piesmidae) do not transmit the beta virus 3 under normal conditions while the adults are very effective vectors. A number of experiments proved that larvae can acquire infectiosity after injection of virus-containing plant juice or punction of the gut so that they transmit the virus successfully to healthy beet plants.
