Snap-together flange connection
2009
FIELD: machine building. SUBSTANCE: snap-together flange connection consists of flanges on end surfaces of connected cylinder elements, of connecting device and of fixture elements. The connecting device corresponds to a contracting clamp out of at least two parts with a profiled circular groove on concave surfaces; by dimension and profile the groove corresponds to two enveloped clamped flanges of connected elements. Curvature radius of the circular groove in its each part of the connecting device is equal to radius of external surfaces (edges) of the flanges of the connected elements. The fixture elements are made as retaining parts on the connected flanges and interact with holders on the connecting device. The holders correspond to crosswise end walls on ends of components of the connecting device at depth of the groove; while the retaining parts are made as similar located relative to each other and equal to each other slots on connected flanges; the slots have width not less, than thickness of one or two holders interacting with them. Number of the slots on both flanges is not less, than number of components of the connecting device; distance between the slots at their minimal number is equal to length of corresponding components of the connecting device along external surface of the flanges. EFFECT: reliable connection of cylinder elements with flanges eliminating additional components and at same dimension in place of their connection. 10 cl, 6 dwg
