[The colecistectomy in primary sclerosing cholangitis: case report and review of literature].

Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is an idiopathic chronic inflammatory condition affecting intra- and extra-hepatic biliary system. The aim of this study is to stress the importance of cholecystectomy in patients withPSC. Consideration should be given to performing a cholecystectomy in PSC patients with gallbladder adenomyomas or calculi, even asymptomatic; this happens in approximately 15% of cases.
