Terahertz imaging using a bistatic fast factorized backprojection algorithm

2012
This paper presents a time-domain approach for synthetic image reconstruction applications called bistatic fast factorized backprojection. The idea of the algorithm is to recursively factorize both, the aperture positions and the target area. For verification purposes, the formalism is applied to experimental measurements from a terahertz scanner that operates in a frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) mode in a frequency range between 234 and 306 GHz. Parameter studies are presented for different factorization configurations.
