El uso de la madera preservada en la construcción

The use of preserved wood in construction: In Costa Rica, construction practices have set apart the use of wood due to the fact that being from secondary forest or produced from plantations, they do not offer the durability found in species that have already disappeared from the market. Preservative systems, including design as a very important element, can increase the useful life of what are considered non durable species, with regards to wood degrading agents. This paper offers some elements to be consider about preservation in the use of wood as a construction material.
