Clock and data recovery of an Extended Manchester Code for PAM-n

2012
Although the Manchester code has many merits among various codes, it has been so far applied in the binary code. The contributions of this paper are that new types of the Manchester code for PAM-n and a clock and data recovery (CDR) method are proposed. The transceiver is easily implemented because it does not need a scrambler circuit and a baseline wandering compensator. The operation of the CDR is verified by testing an implemented transceiver.
