Supporting in-Service Teachers for Embracing Comprehensive Sexuality Education in the ELT Classroom

In this chapter, we reflect upon a whole-day workshop we delivered on the implementation of comprehensive sexual education (CSE) in the English classroom in primary and secondary education in Argentina. The aims of the workshop, which took place in southern Argentina, were raising awareness about CSE, discussing and developing conceptual and methodological content drawing on content and language integrated learning (CLIL) underpinnings and revisiting teachers’ practices. In the chapter, we describe the workshop and discuss the experiences and materials we shared when dealing with CSE in initial teacher education as well as teaching sequences for primary and secondary school. We also describe the hands-on section of the workshop.
