This study as its main objetive to determinate the best union of can tinplate for resistence welding. In order to ful fill this work some welding sample were used at intensities of electric current. With an evaluation the variation and association of mechanic qualities, rugosity and corrosion resitance. From the indicators obtained by electrochemical trials, it is possible the evaluate aggresiveness of medium standarized citric-citrate 0.1 M on tinplate welding and then make a better prediction of its perfomance. An elctronic microscopy SEM analysis was made on probes in order to evaluate the union morfology and validate evaluations of the corrosion process in the surface. The work fulflled is a subject of great technologist and economic interest, main in the food industry.
