Highly active silver powder for silver-zinc rechargeable battery

A highly active silver powder applied in silver-zinc rechargeable batteries was prepared via a novel chemical reduction route with an organic reducing agent.Physical and electrochemical property examinations were carried out on this silver powder.Results indicate that the obtained highly active silver power can meet the technological requirements of electrode plate production,while its activity increases by 5 percent compared to conventional silver powder.
