This contribution aims to highlight how during a post-catastrophe intervention, motor activities can be a suitable educational tool for overcoming the moments of difficulties caused by the trauma. In an atmosphere of consciousness, motor activity can be used during then the immediate phase as well as all the phases of the post-catastrophe intervention in order to create a more secure and structured environment thus representing an optimal educational tool of social inclusion and psychophysical rebalancing. The work also aims to highlight the formative role of Special Olympics whose educational peculiarity is represented by the ability to improve the quality of life of the person involved and the ability to create a more open and welcoming society for everyone.
