Personal Attention to the Patient in the Pituitary Tumor Health-Care Pathway

Patients with a pituitary tumor are referred to the Centre of endocrine tumors/Schedelbasiscentrum LUMC from many parts of the Netherlands. A pituitary tumor has a major impact on patients’ lives. It is therefore not surprising that this center has been focusing on patient-reported outcomes (measurements of quality of life) since the 2000s. Based on the Value-Based Care concept, a new clinical pathway has recently been developed which involved patients.
