Deuterium analysis by rotatable collector probe in JFT-2M scrape-off layer

1995
Abstract Time-resolved flux distribution has been measured with a rotatable collector probe in an ohmically heated divertor discharge of deuterium. The transient flux at the beginning of the discharge is found to affect largely the time-integrated flux distribution in the whole SOL. Within a middle part of the SOL region the spatial flux distribution of deuterium is found to have two exponentially decreasing components, due to a shielding effect of a fixed limiter.
