Flow Analysis in Horizontal Diffuser Pipe of Dense-phase Pneumatic Conveying

Compressed air was used as the transmission power and gypsum powder as the transport medium.Experiments were conducted for horizontal diffuser pipe of dense-phase pneumatic conveying on the high concentration of fluidized transportation at the pressure up to 0.3MPa.The characteristics of system transmission capacity and solid velocity were analyzed.And the relationship between geometric parameters such as diffuser angle and diameter ratio of the horizontal diffuser pipe and the pressure drop were investigated.In addition,a relatively accurately mathematic model was developed based on the experimental data to predict the resistance characteristics of horizontal diffuser pipe.
