Chinese Women and Environment from an Eco-feminist Perspective

2010
This paper examines the Chinese women's environmental movement since the 4th World Conference on Women in 1995 in relation to the theory and practice of eco-feminism in the world. It suggests that the relationship of Chinese women with environment is one of a political endeavor in nature to localize and socialize a "women/gender and environment/development" enterprise. It proposes the need to theorize and conceptualize the endeavor of localizing the above enterprise.
