Hepatocyte size in rats with alimentary obesity

: A comparative study was carried out on populations of the hepatic cells, taken from rats with alimentary obesity and hyperinsulinism and from animals with the normal body weight. It was concluded that the hepatic cell sizes remained unchanged in the obesity degree examined despite the morphological signs of hepatocyte changes due to accumulation of excessive cytoplasmatic lipids.
