Application of Variable Range Hopping Model to a Granular Carbon
2011
In this paper we discussed the application of variable range hopping model of electrical transport in carbon‐black. We have analyzed the experimental data of seven samples with different volumetric densities cooled down to around T = 1.4 K using the Mott and Efros‐Shklovskii equations. The temperature range of validity of these two regimes, the crossover from the first to the second regime, and the using of a new and simpler equation fitting all the temperature range data is showed and discussed.
