An electrode for a battery is provided to improve a charge and discharge efficiency of a battery because an active material is uniformly distributed in an active material layer. An electrode to be applied to a positive electrode or negative electrode of a battery includes: a current collector(15) formed of conductive foil; and an active material layer(17) comprising plural layers(16) laminated on the current collector. The plural layers have a same component. The plural layers are arranged in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the current collector. The active material layer has an interface in which adjacent layers touch each other.
