The use of luminescence analysis in the investigation of the tar from the low-temperature carbonization of kuckersite shale

Luminescence spectra in the wavelength range of 300-800 nm have been taken under the conditions of the Shapo'skii effect for the tar from the low-temperature carbonization of kuckersite shale as a whole and for its individual fractions in various matrices. Questions of the selection of a suitable matrix and the use of luminescence spectra for characterizing components of shale tar are discussed.
