Susceptibilidad a la corrosión de soldaduras de una aleación cobalto-cromo de uso odontológico

The corrosion resistance of a Co-Cr base alloy and welded joint in artificial saliva solutions was studied. The results show that the electrochemical behavior of weld metal is similar to that of the base metal. The corrosion rate obtained was 1,1 × 10 −3 mm . year −1 . This value is lower than that obtained for other odotological alloys tested in similar conditions. The Co-Cr alloy would be the most appropriate dental alloy for restorations
