The effect of electrode configuration in domain broadening of periodically poled LiNbO3

The effect of LiNbO3 electrode with three different configurations on domain broadening by using poling method appling external electric field applying external electric field is studied. The effect of poling electrode configuration in domain broadening is studied. The experiment demonstrated that under the same poling condition, the broadening velocities are 0.089 mu m/ms and 0.011 mu m/ms when the angle between the poling electrode and the diagonals, of hexagonal domain nucleus are 90 degrees and 0 degrees, respectively, therefore the circumstance of 90 degrees angle between poling electrode and the diagonals of hexagonal domain nucleus should be avoided in fabricating one-dimension nonlinear photonic crystal.
