USE OF PRESUREN® IN CAESAREAN SECTIONS

1959
SUMMARY The paper reports on a series of 65 cases in which Presuren (Hydroxydion, Schering) was used as an anaesthetic for Caesarean section. The total dose for induction was 1.0 to 1.5 g supplemented after the delivery by nitrous oxide and oxygen or by V.A.M. (May & Baker). Three different methods of induction were used in order to find the most suitable application of the drug: Presuren alone, Presuren with d-tubocurarine, and Presuren supplemented by succinylcholine. The last method seemed to give the most satisfactory results.
