Tecnologia Social e Meio Ambiente: análise de abordagem macroteórica e das dimensões de sustentabilidade
2021
Environmental problems are linked to economic, cultural, social and political issues. Social Technology (ST) incorporates cultural elements and attempts to balance the lack of income and employment with environmental preservation and social justice. The present study aimed to identify (i) which macro-theories have been used in research on ST with environmental issues and (ii) an analysis based on the double matrix for sustainability. A survey of dissertations and theses was carried out from 2000 to 2019. Twelve papers were identified. The results indicate that Marxism was the most used macrotheory. It was also observed that the ST have economic, cultural, environmental and political sustainability as they address issues of income, food, water, environmental and cultural preservation. Thus, it appears that the ST, from the evaluation of the double entry matrix, can answer some challenges essential to human development combined with environmental preservation.
