The teaching of EFL writing aims to cultivate the students` writing skills and its paradigm has experienced corresponding shift with the development of science,technology and social culture.Based on the analyses of various paradigms,the author proposes the framework of a "3-d" paradigm and its critical components in order to solve the problem that any single paradigm is incapable to cultivate all-round writing skills in teaching practice.
