Isovector pairing vibrations

Abstract The experimental corpus of L = 0 two nucleon transfer reactions induced by light ion projectiles in 1f-2p shell nuclei is reviewed. A unified picture of these processes is attempted in terms of pairing elementary modes of excitation (bosons) generated by fluctuations of the isovector pairing gap around its zero equilibrium value.
