Transport packaging set for transportation and storage of nuclear fuel

FIELD: energy industry. SUBSTANCE: transport packaging set (TPS) for transportation and storage of nuclear fuel comprises a housing with two covers. The housing consists of a shell, which is a pipe on which ends the flanges are installed and on the welding the bearings and the strap lugs are attached. Inside the shell a socket is mounted, made of circular tube. Part of the socket, where the active area of the fuel assembly is located, is provided with longitudinal ribs and limiters and is filled with neutron absorbing compound. Inside the socket the removable hexagonal socket is placed, formed by welding two half-shells, which are attached to semi-disks on both sides, which form a circular cross section with an outer diameter, forming a gap with the inner diameter of the socket pipe. At each inner face of the removable socket the fluoroplastic plates are mounted. EFFECT: exclusion of gaps in the socket of the TPS housing, increase in biological protection of the service staff. 2 dwg
