Study on Growth Characteristic of Mini-cucumber Hybrid Lücui and It's Cultivation Techniques to Obtain Good Quality and High Yield

Based on shortage of cucumber varieties for special use,a new cucumber hybrid F1 Lucui was developed by Institute of Horticulture,Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences.The plant experimentally and demonstration for 6 years in Henan province and others shows that Lucui is suitable for protected spring and autumn cultivation,and open field spring and summer cultivation in Huanghuai zone.The plant is strong,early-maturation,good fruit-set successively,high commodity rate,strong desease-resiatance,and high-yield and good-quality.The fruit is stick-like,stingless,without fruit end,orderly,deep green,tasty.It is about 19.0cm long(about 15.0cm long for winter fruits),2.2cm wide,averagely 100-120g weight,and has a small cavity less than 1.1cm.In addition,the standard fruits account for over 85%.The high yield and good quality cultivating techniques of this mini-cucumber variety in Huanghuai were summaried,including preparition before cultivating strong seedling,pest and disease control,management after transplanting,harvest at the right time to guide the extended production.
