Effect of Liquid from Seaweed on the Vegetable Growth under Low Temperature Stress

2007
The experiment in the effect of the liquid from seaweed on the seed of Cucumis saticus L.and Ipomoca aquatica was conducted, and then the young plant was grown in low temperature(0 ℃ and 5 ℃).The result indicated that, compared with the CK,for Cucumis saticus L.,200 times liquid of kelp can enhance the length of major root and stem up to 59.26% and 25% and laver, the weight of root,42.35% under 0 ℃ treatment.Under 5 ℃ treatment,600 times liquid of Porphyra haitanensis can enhance the length of major root up to 12.73%;the weight of root,92.61%;the length of shoot,11.9% and the weight of shoot,42.96%.For Ipomoca aquatica,800 times liquid of Porphyra haitanensis can enhance the length of major root and the wight of shoot up to 38.1% and 53.0%;800 times liquid of kelp can enhance the wight of shoot,11.43%.And under 5 ℃ treatment,600 times liquid of Porphyra haitanensis can enhance the length of major root up to 23.53%;the weight of root,21.61% and by 10 times in the weight of shoot.
