Composite roll mixed with reinforcement cast iron base and manufacture method thereof

The invention discloses a hybrid reinforced cast iron-containing compound roll and a preparation method thereof. A compound layer (working layer) of the prepared hybrid reinforced cast iron-containing compound roll is a cast iron-containing composite material which is reinforced by mixing tungsten filaments and carbide particles, and a roll core of the roll is made from high-strength grey cast iron. The preparation method of the compound roll comprises the following steps: the tungsten filament net which is made of the tungsten filaments is pre-arranged in a cast mold of a centrifuge and the number of the arranged layers is 1-4; the high-strength grey cast iron is cast in the cast mold of the centrifuge at certain rotation speed at the temperature of 1300-1350 DEG C; the cast roll is subject to heat treatment, thermal diffusion and phase transition, and cooled in a furnace to the room temperature to obtain the hybrid reinforced cast iron-containing compound roll. The compound layer (the working layer) of the hybrid reinforced cast iron-containing composite roll is in good combination with the roll core. Experiments prove that the hybrid reinforced cast iron-containing compound roll prepared by the method has the advantages of high red hardness, good wear resistance and small internal stress, thus the service life of the roll can be greatly prolonged.
