ANÁLISE ERGONÔMICA DO TRABALHO DE REFLORESTAMENTO: UMA APLICAÇÃO DOS MÉTODOS NIOSH E DA NORMA INTERNACIONAL ISO 11228-1 ERGONOMIC ANALYSIS OF REFORESTATION WORK: AN APPLICATION OF THE NIOSH METHODS AND THE INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ISO 11228-1

2015
With the growth of public awareness for environmental issues, reforestation initiatives and projects have become increasingly recurrent. However the analysis of risks associated with the development of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders - WMSD in this activity are not always considered. The present work aims at identifying the risks of WMSD in a reforestation, in an area with rugged relief, and as a methodology for understanding the activities and the difficulties faced by workers Ergonomic Work Analysis (EWA). The results identified that EWA served to identify that carrying of seedlings uphill is the main contributor to increased task of WMSD. The NIOSH equation and the Table 1 of ISO 11228-1 were used for evaluation of this task. From the diagnosis of increased risk factors for WMSD were constructed recommendations for improvements in working conditions, such as: increased use of draft animals; high cabling and tractor with trailer; adoption of backpacks with girth; storage of seedlings on benches in order to decrease the vertical displacement; adoption of rest breaks; conducting training on the activity of loading and guidance on the associated risks.
