Optimal Power Distribution Algorithm for Energy Efficient IoT-NOMA Enabled Networks

2019
The performance of a non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system is evaluated with a successive interference cancellation (SIC) method at the receiving end to enhance the efficiency of spectral resources. This approach achieves high sum rate by enabling different users to perform their multiplexing function using the same subchannel. This paper examines the energy efficiency development in a downlink NOMA system with defective channel state information (CSI). The problem of energy efficient is foremost expressed as an optimization problem in a non-convex form with probability constraints to be transformed in solving the non-convex probability problem. This paper proposes iterative algorithms for power distribution optimization technique to improve energy efficient IoT-NOMA networks. The paper uses an Lagrange method to derive an optimal closed-form power distribution optimization expression. Simulation results validate the proposed technique with a prove of its superior performance over the existing system in terms of spectrum and energy efficiency.
