Multiple addressable register files and associated format conversions

A multi-addressable register file is addressed by a variety of types of instructions, including scalar, vector, and Vector Scalar Extension statements. It can be determined that data need to be translated from one format to another format. If it is determined, a conversion machine instruction is executed, obtained a date with single precision in a first representation in a first format from a first register; the date with simple precision of the first display in the first format into a converted date converts single-precision a second representation in a second format; sets and the converted data with single precision in a second register.
