Contribuições de enfermagem para o cuidado às radiodermatites

2019
Objective: To analyze the scientific evidence related to nursing contributions in radiodermatitis care. Method: Integrative literature review conducted between October and November 2018 in the Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Database, Nursing Database, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature and Web of Science with the  keywords: Radiotherapy, Radiodermatitis and Nursing. Results: Twelve productions were included as a sample, based on the construction of two thematic categories. The nurse should evaluate and reevaluate the client's skin under radiotherapy in order to avoid injury, infection and promote healing. Maintain hydrated skin and protect against sunlight. Corticosteroids and moisturizers can relieve discomfort. Final considerations: Nursing care is essential in the prevention and treatment of radiodermatitis, prioritizing the comfort and quality of life of the client. Products and coverings may assist in this care. The expansion of studies involving the theme is encouraged, contributing to the construction of subsidies that underpin strategies for radiotherapy client care, reducing adverse effects and ensuring better nursing care.
