CaracterizaciÛn del uso de la energÌa en un agrupamiento industrial de la ciudad de Barranquilla Characterization of energy use in an Industrial Grouping in the city of Barranquilla

This work presents the results of a technology of energetic characterization application in 9 companies in the city of Barranquilla from different productive sub-sectors, among which are included: foods, textiles, paper, utility services, chemicals, plastics, and fibro-cements to determine the degree of energy consumption control and to obtain the potential savings that can be recovered at the company level and at the group level through energy management. W e present the classification of the potentials savings obtained according to the energy carrier (electric energy and natural gas) and according to actions (production planning and reduction of energy not associated to production). In quantitative terms, the economic potential identified as recoverable is of $1,360,000,000 colombian pesos per year.
