Antimikrobiální úpravy povrchů

Present bachelor thesis is devoted to the basic insight into the utilization and modification of polymers (and other surfaces) for the antimicrobial applications. Various types of polymeric materials with antimicrobial activity are discussed, polymeric biocides, biocidal polymers and antimicrobial polymer surfaces. In this thesis it is shown that utilization of polymers might be beneficial from point of view of activity, stability of endurance of the antimicrobial action. Several literature procedures of preparation of antimicrobial surfaces are given, most important are layer by layer assembly and surface grafting and these methods are compared and discussed.
