Educação alimentar e nutricional como estratégia de promoção da alimentação saudável entre adolescentes escolares em um município do Agreste pernambucano

Due to changes in the food pattern of the Brazilian population, the distribution of nutritional complications underwent changes in the prevalence of obesity and overweight, associated with CNCD. Children, adolescents and adolescents also see the diseases, which makes essential the development of strategies of nutritional intervention, which aim to promote life, and the prevention of diseases related to food and nutrition in the school environment. In this sense, the study had as objective to define the nutritional status, consumption and the alimentary environment and the reach of the treatment among the women in the school of the city of Gravata. The study was carried out with 42 adolescents of both sexes with ages between 12 and 17 years, enrolled in the 8th and 9th grade of the Gravata State School. Initially the diagnosis of the public target was carried out, through the application of a semistructured question. They were then elaborated as food and nutritional education (EAN) activities, where seven meetings were held, one week lasting 40-60 minutes during the period of October 2017 (class 1) and March to June 2018 (classes 2 and 3). 42 schoolchildren participated in the study, most of them female. Regarding nutritional status, 24.0% of adolescents were classified as overweight, being 16.6% overweight and 7.4% obese. About 60.0% of the participants reported spending 2 hours or more in front of the TV, and 78.2% spent 3 to 5 hours or more without a cellular device. More than 90% eat and snack in front of the screens. Adolescent feeding is characterized by the maintenance of food consumption such as rice and beans, and high consumption of sugary drinks and ultraprocessed foods. Large participation and interest of adolescents in EAN activities were observed and the harsh employees were found to contribute effectively for the construction of knowledge and awareness among young people about the existence of healthy eating habits for health, as well as providing those involved, autonomy, creativity and reflexes to build a critical view on nurses and healthy. It is concluded that performing EAN activities in the work environment is an end-to-end adult session. Therefore, the analysis is a continuous process and a constant practice of EAN strategies is fundamental for the permanence of a healthy food system.
