2016
In a system of automatic control of zonal temperatures there are strong positive inter-relationships between the loops through heat exchange between zones. Any disturbance in a double-loop automatic control system can be represented as the sum of in-phase and anti-phase disturbances. The system responds quickly to the first one, but to the second one the reaction is an order of magnitude slower. When calculating, it is possible to apply the principle of superposition, summing up the reactions to above-mentioned components. It is recommended to avoid anti-phase component of the disturbance. For example, when regulating zonal temperatures, it is recommended to change the set temperatures synchronously. Otherwise, regulation time and dynamic errors dramatically increase. From the point of view of the frequency approach, the double-loop automatic control system has much broader frequency range of effective regulation for in-phase disturbances than for anti-phase disturbances. For automatic control systems with negative cross-connections between loops (e.g., regulation of temperature and air humidity), all above-mentioned recommendations change to the opposite.
