Experimental transport studies in laser-produced plasmas at 1. 06 and 0. 53. mu. m
1979
Laser-irradiated thin-foil experiments at 1.06 and 0.53 ..mu..m show that heat penetration in the target is greater at shorter wavelengths as a consequence of larger ablation rate. Comparison of experimental and numerical results indicates that comparable flux inhibition occurs at both wavelengths.
