The concept of constructing the system for the comprehensive reliability evaluation of functioning the linear parts of the cross-country pipe-lines has been proposed. The strength, plasticity, resistance to breakage during the dynamic and statical tests have been investigated. The strain ageing property, pipe steel susceptibility to delayed fracture in the initial state and after the long operation have been investigated as well. The main factors influencing the character and dynamics of the crack-like flaw growth have been determined. The main parameters characterizing the technical state and service reliability of the cross-country pipe-lines have been found. The criteria for the evaluation of the hazard rate of functioning the cross-country pipe-lines have been laid down.
