On the basis of clinical case the variants of first surgical aid of the patients with massive thromboembolism of pulmonary artery are suggested in the article. Because of high level of death of patients with massive thromboembolism of pulmonary artery, the authors consider that the usage of active surgical tactics saves patients' lives, reduces the development of postoperative complications and also allows to return quickly to socially full and active life.
