Numerical simulation of unsteady flows of fluid machinery using discrete vortex method

This paper presents a new numerical algorithm for vorticity boundary condition,stretching term and viscous diffusion term in the vorticity transport equation and an integral method for pressure calculation using the distributed discrete vortex elements over the flow domain.Case studies are presented to show the attractive features of this method and validate the method in unsteady flow simulations for fluid machinery.
