A 20 Gbit/s parallel phase detector and demultiplexer circuit in a production silicon bipolar technology with f/sub T/=25 GHz

An integrated circuit operating at 20 Gbit/s for use in transmission systems is presented. It features decision and demultiplexing functions as well as a phase detector for clock recovery. It implements a novel parallel principle for phase detection, and works with a single 10 GHz clock.
