PERLINDUNGAN SOSIAL BAGI ANAK MANUSIA PERAHU DI KABUPATEN BERAU, KALIMANTAN TIMUR SOCIAL PROTECTION TO CHILDREN OF MAN BOAT IN KABUPATEN BERAU, EAST KALIMANTAN

This study focuses on social issues Children of Man Boats in Berau District of East Kalimantan. The children are grown and living with his parents in the sea who do not know to read and write as well as the lack of information. These communities have different customs and habits with the most people and live for generations. The child's condition is not fulfilled their rights as a child. This paper uses the perspective of social protection of children's rights as stipulated in Act 35 of 2014 regarding the amendment of Law No. 23 of 2002 on the Protection of Children. The purpose of this research is to find answers to the research questions of social protection of children boat people. In particular, the purpose of this study is to describe the social conditions, and the government's handling of child protection policy boat people in Berau. The method used is qualitative.
